About MuziAI
MuziAI is a free AI song maker with no account needed. You give it lyrics and a style, and it returns a finished song with a singing voice and backing music. It also offers audio tools: separating beat and vocals, changing the voice of a song (AI cover), having an AI sing over a beat you already have, and auto-mixing and mastering a vocal right in your browser.
Your songs are stored on a private page that only people with the link can open. The sample library holds songs made by MuziAI, each with an editor's note on structure, harmony and lyrics.
How this project started
MuziAI went live on 19 September 2026, from a practical question: how far can an open-source music model be run on your own hardware, and how usable is it for ordinary people. We built the whole serving side ourselves: the queue, batching several songs into one singing pass, and quality checks after each step. Most of the work was measuring, not clicking buttons.
How MuziAI makes a song
- Lyrics and classification: a large language model running on our own server. Lyrics written by the AI always appear in the lyrics box so you can edit them before sending.
- Composing and singing: an open AI music model on our own GPU machine. It writes a score in ABC notation (melody and chords), then sings to that score.
- Storage: visitors' songs stay on private pages; only our own sample songs are in the public library.
Editorial policy and AI disclosure
- AI-generated content is always labelled. Every song on MuziAI is sung by AI, and the lyrics may be written by AI. Sample pages say so.
- Public sample songs carry an editor's note analysing the structure, harmony and lyrics of that particular song, including its weaknesses. Songs without a note can still be played, but we keep them out of search indexes.
- The research posts on the blog rest on measurements we ran ourselves while building MuziAI: method, numbers, and the approaches that did not work. We do not put unreviewed machine translations into the index.
- Corrections: if you spot a mistake or content that should be removed, tell us on the Contact page. We fix or remove it and record the update date.
Why it is free
The machines are already there and the model is open. In return, each person can keep one song in the queue at a time (finish one before the next) so there is room for everybody.
