How to Create AI Music with MuziAI
Updated 9/19/2026
MuziAI's AI takes two things: lyrics and a style description, then returns a 48 kHz stereo song with vocals and backing music. This page explains how to feed these two in for the best results.
1. Format your lyrics
The AI reads lyrics by section. Each section starts with an English label in square brackets on its own line:
[Intro] [Verse] Rain falls on an empty street tonight The old cafe waits, but no one's in sight [Chorus] Rain, oh rain, please stop falling Help me forget the one who's gone
- Separate sections with one blank line.
- Usable labels:
[Intro][Verse][Pre-Chorus][Chorus][Bridge][Interlude][Outro]. MuziAI automatically converts «[Điệp khúc]», «[ĐK]», «[chorus 2]» to standard labels. - Leave
[Intro]and[Interlude]empty for instrumental sections. - The chorus must be written out in full each time. The AI doesn't understand «x2» or «(repeat)».
- Song length follows lyric length. Add more sections for a longer song.
2. Style description
The AI understands style best in English. MuziAI combines your choices (genre, mood, voice, tempo, instruments, techniques) into an English sentence. The «extra description» field is appended at the end.
Specific descriptions beat flowery ones: female vocal, acoustic guitar, 80 BPM gives more consistent results than a beautiful dreamy masterpiece.
3. Harmonies, backing vocals, and techniques
The vocal technique group (harmonies, backing vocals, choir, call and response, melisma, breathy voice, vibrato...) and the arrangement technique group (a cappella intro, key change for final chorus, solo, build-up before chorus...) are suggestions for the AI. The AI follows them as hints, not guarantees.
4. Customization options
All optional. Leave them as default for the best results on most songs.
| Option | Default | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| AI composition mode | Compose melody + chords, then sing | Keep default: songs feel tighter and include chords to view. |
| Creativity level | Balanced | «Safe» for familiar melodies and clear lyrics. «Wild» for something unexpected. |
| Style adherence | Natural | If the song doesn't match the genre or instruments, choose «Closer». |
| Audio quality | Standard | «Fast» saves about 25 seconds, but audio sounds rougher. |
| Version code | leave blank | Only fill in to recreate a specific version you've heard. |
| Existing sheet music | off | Borrow the melody and chords of a sample song, or paste your own sheet music in ABC notation: the AI sings to exactly that score. The panel sits right below the tabs at the top of the form. |
5. Tips for better songs
- Keep the lyrics and click generate again. This is the cheapest way to get a completely different mix.
- Keep the chorus short, repetitive, with one catchy line.
- Pick one genre and one clear mood, avoid contradictions (metal + peaceful).
- For clearer vocals: use slow or medium tempo, fewer instruments.
- Like a sample song? Click «Use this style» on that song's page.
6. Limitations to know
- Measured by listening to sample songs, the AI sings clearest in Portuguese, Japanese, German, Dutch, and English (95% or higher); Vietnamese is around 74% because tone marks can drift with the melody. Italian and Russian are still experimental.
- Each song takes a few minutes of compute, so there's a queue; each person can have one song in the queue at a time, with no limit on the number of songs per day.
- Individual users, content creators and musicians may use and make money from the songs they create; businesses need a separate license. Details are in the Terms.
- Your songs are not public: they're stored on a private page, only accessible via direct link.
Where to start depends on how much music you know
If you have never written a song, you need two things first: how to split lyrics into sections, and how a chorus differs from a verse. If you already play an instrument, you need to know how the AI reads a style description. If you want fine control, you work on each part of the song: beat, vocal, mix. The three groups below follow that order; read each one top to bottom.
Beginners: a finished song on the first try
- Read the lyric formatting section at the top of this page: each section opens with a label such as
[Verse]or[Chorus]on its own line, sections are separated by one blank line, and the chorus is written out in full every time. - No lyrics yet? Use write lyrics: type a one-line idea, pick a genre and mood, and the AI returns lyrics already split into sections.
- Choose an easy genre such as pop or ballad, leave the tempo on its default, and create a song. It takes about 2 to 4 minutes.
- Listen to a few songs in the same genre in the sample library to learn what a normal result sounds like.
Do not change many settings at once at this stage. If a song sounds odd after you changed five things, you cannot tell which one caused it.
You know some music: steering the style
You understand tempo and major versus minor, and you know a pop song usually has verses, a pre-chorus, a chorus and a bridge. The next step is learning how the AI reads descriptions: it understands style best in English, and a concrete description like female vocal, acoustic guitar gives steadier results than a poetic sentence. Read the style description and harmonies sections above, then open the page for the genre you use most, such as rap or jazz, for its instruments and lyric-writing advice.
The slow, medium and fast presets are 72, 100 and 128 BPM. For another tempo, type the BPM into the extra description field; the AI treats it as a hint, not a hard lock. Picking a mood such as nostalgic or powerful is another way to steer key and arrangement.
You want fine control: working on each part of a song
At this level you are not only making new songs but editing, combining and re-singing existing ones. A common chain:
- Stem separation: upload a song and get the beat and the vocal back as separate files.
- AI sings on your beat: upload your beat, paste lyrics, pick a male, female or your own voice; the AI sings in time and in key with the beat and mixes a finished song.
- Auto mix: record your own vocal and place it on the beat, with pitch correction and level balancing. It runs right in your browser.
- AI cover: hear an existing song re-sung in your voice over the original beat.
What to read in which order
| Level | Read first | Read next | Tool to try |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beginner | lyric formatting | listening to samples | write lyrics |
| Some music knowledge | style description | harmonies, vocal techniques, genre pages | sample library |
| Fine control | stem separation | singing on a beat, mixing | auto mix |
The blog has step-by-step posts with screenshots, from your first song to harmonies, beat separation, chords and melodies written in ABC notation. Read it when you are stuck on a specific step.
Try it with one of these ideas
- Beginner: the idea “Dad's old bicycle”, pop, medium preset, everything else on default.
- Some music knowledge: same idea, add
male vocal, acoustic guitar, harmonica, 90 BPMto the description and compare the two versions. - Fine control: split the beat from a song you already made, write new rap lyrics, and have the AI sing them on that beat.
