What Makes Lyrics Different from Poetry
Song lyrics must be singable: short lines you can sing in one breath (about 6 to 10 syllables in English), open vowels at line ends so you can hold the note, and a chorus that repeats exactly so listeners remember it. Good poetry doesn't always sing well; great lyrics often read simply.
Anatomy of a Song
| Section | Role | Suggested Length |
|---|---|---|
| [Intro] | Instrumental lead-in, usually no vocals | Leave empty |
| [Verse] | Tells the story, builds momentum | 4 to 8 lines |
| [Pre-Chorus] | Builds emotion before the chorus | 2 to 4 lines |
| [Chorus] | The hook, most memorable part | 4 to 6 lines, repeat verbatim |
| [Bridge] | Shifts perspective, sets up final chorus | 2 to 4 lines |
| [Outro] | Wraps up the song | 1 to 2 lines or leave empty |
Backing Vocals and Ad-libs in Lyrics
When you choose backing vocals or ad-libs, AI adds short echo phrases in parentheses at the end of some chorus lines, like "The rain keeps falling down (down, down)". The vocal engine sings the parenthesized part as a separate harmony layer.
English Vowels and Consonants: What Matters for AI Singing
English has tricky sounds: end vowels like "ah" or "ee" hold well, while hard consonants like "t" or "k" can cut notes short. AI vocals stumble most on lines with too many stop consonants in a row. Putting open vowels at line ends and on long notes reduces those glitches.

What this tool does
You describe an idea and choose a genre, a mood and a length. The AI writes a title and lyrics with rhymes and a chorus, split into sections in the exact format the singing model reads. The finished lyrics always appear in the lyrics box so you can read and edit every word before you create the song; nothing is sent to be sung until you say so.
Writing usually takes 16 to 25 seconds. Measured through the live site: Vietnamese lyrics in 24.7 seconds, English lyrics in 15.8 seconds. It can take longer on busy hours.
Section labels, and why the chorus is written out in full
Each section opens with a label on its own line: [Intro] [Verse] [Pre-Chorus] [Chorus] [Bridge] [Interlude] [Outro]. There is exactly one blank line between sections. [Intro] and [Interlude] are instrumental, so they contain only the label. Labels typed in other words, such as Vietnamese [Điệp khúc], are converted to the standard ones.
The chorus is copied out word for word every time it appears. The singing model does not understand x2, (repeat) or chorus as above: it sings only the lines actually on the page, so a shortened chorus is skipped or sung as text. For the same reason the lyrics contain no stage directions such as (hold the note) or (instrumental).
Song length follows lyric length
The singing model has no length setting: a song lasts as long as its lyrics. So short, medium and long here mean a number of sections:
| Length | Layout the AI writes | Song of about |
|---|---|---|
| Short | Intro, Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Outro | 2 minutes |
| Medium | Intro, Verse, Pre-Chorus, Chorus, Verse, Pre-Chorus, Chorus, Bridge, Chorus, Outro | 3 minutes |
| Long | As medium, plus an Interlude after the first chorus and one more chorus at the end | 4 minutes |
Each verse has 4 to 8 lines, a chorus 4 to 6, a bridge 2 to 4. One test shows the rule clearly: with labels and no words, a song lasted only about 1 minute whether it had 4 or 8 labels; with words, it grew with the number of lines.
Writing Vietnamese lyrics that sing well
We had the tool listen back to Vietnamese songs it had sung and compared every line with the original lyrics. Counting tone marks, it heard 0.909 of the lyrics correctly in pop, 0.947 in ballad and 0.786 in bolero; ignoring tone marks the figures rose to 0.953, 0.984 and 0.875. English, as a control, scored 1.000. The gap between the two columns is almost entirely tone drift: the right syllable with the wrong tone. Some writing habits follow from that, and most also help in other languages:
- Short lines of 5 to 9 syllables in Vietnamese, or 5 to 10 words in English, one breath each. The AI writes to these sizes.
- End lines and long held notes on level tone syllables, because a sustained note is where the melody bends a tone most easily.
- Do not repeat identical lines outside the chorus. When lines were identical, the model once wrote the same melodic phrase six times in a row.
- Avoid stanzas made only of vocalising such as hu hu hu hoh. One such line became 11 seconds of howling in a song. For a breather, use an [Interlude] label.
- Write numbers as words. The AI turns a phone number into spoken digits and a web address into dot com so they can be sung.
- Label sections instead of pasting one block. Lyrics with no labels are treated as one long verse, so the song is sung wall to wall and can sound spoken.
Jingles for shops and brands
When the idea introduces a shop, a product, a class or an event, the AI writes a jingle: short, cheerful, easy to remember; the brand name in every chorus and at least three times in the song; only the strengths you mention, no invented discounts or figures; ending with an invitation to visit, call or order. Names, shop names and addresses are kept exactly. In a real test run the AI wrote jingle lyrics in 17 seconds, with the shop name in every chorus and the phone number spelled out, and the finished song ran 79 seconds.
Limitations
- Tone drift still happens, most of all in bolero. The singing model was published for Chinese and English; it sings Vietnamese, but not perfectly.
- Vietnamese, English and Chinese are the main languages. The others in the list are experimental.
- The AI writes on the topic you give without watering it down, but it does not fact check your idea.
- When the lyric writer is busy or paused, the tool shows an error so you can retry in a few minutes, instead of returning weak lyrics.
- AI lyrics are a good draft, not a final version. Read and edit them before you create the song.
Frequently asked questions
Can I write my own lyrics instead?
Yes. Lyrics you paste are normalised into the same format: labels on their own lines, exactly one blank line between sections. More tips are on the blog.
What if I do not like the lyrics?
Edit them directly in the lyrics box or ask the AI to write again. After the song is finished, the result page keeps the idea you typed and offers to reuse the settings, so you can write another version without retyping.
Can I use these lyrics on my own beat?
Yes. Copy them into AI singer, upload your beat and choose a voice. To sing the exact melody of an existing song, use AI cover.
The song is longer or shorter than I want. What now?
Add or remove sections in the lyrics. Length follows the number of sung lines, so switching from short to long, or adding a chorus, is the surest way to make the song longer.
