Write Your Own Lyrics: Using [Verse] and [Chorus] Tags

You already have lyrics, or you want to write them yourself without relying on AI. MuziAI has a Write Your Own Lyrics tab where you can paste your lyrics, insert section tags, and the AI will sing exactly the structure you set. This guide walks you through every step, even if you know nothing about music.

Open the Write Your Own Lyrics Tab

Go to the write lyrics page, and you'll see two tabs at the top: AI Write Lyrics and Write Your Own Lyrics. Click the Write Your Own Lyrics tab. The interface shows a lyrics input box, a song title field, and a row of tag buttons.

Enter the Song Title and Paste Lyrics

In the Song Title field, type your song's title. It's optional but recommended. Then paste your lyrics into the large box below. You can write directly or paste from elsewhere.

Insert Section Tags So the AI Knows the Structure

MuziAI won't guess which part is the intro or the chorus. You need to insert tags. The available tags are: [Intro], [Verse], [Pre-Chorus], [Chorus], [Bridge], [Interlude], [Outro]. Here's how to use them:

1. Place your cursor at the beginning of the section you want to tag.
2. Click the corresponding tag button, for example [Verse].
3. The tag appears on its own line, before the lyrics of that section.

Here's an example of lyrics with a simple structure:

[Intro]
(Instrumental only, no vocals)

[Verse 1]
Woke up this morning, sun shining bright
Feeling so happy, everything's right

[Chorus]
Oh sun, don't fade away
Let me hold this moment, make it stay

[Verse 2]
Walking through the busy street tonight
Thinking of the days we held on tight

Separate each section with a blank line. This helps the AI distinguish the parts clearly.

Chorus: Write It Out Fully Each Time, Don't Use x2

When the chorus repeats, you must write the full lyrics each time. The AI doesn't understand symbols like x2 or repeat. If you write [Chorus] and only include the lyrics once, the AI will sing it only once. To have the chorus sung twice, you need to paste the chorus lyrics twice, each in its own section.

Correct example:

Incorrect example:

Watch the Line and Character Counters

Below the lyrics box, there's a counter showing the number of lines and characters. Limits: up to 3000 characters, and between 2 and 90 sung lines. If you exceed these, you'll need to trim. The counter updates as you type.

Note: tags like [Verse] don't count as sung lines. Only lines with lyrics are counted. Each line counts as one, even short ones.

After Pasting Lyrics, Choose a Style and Generate

Once your lyrics are ready, scroll down to choose Style, Vocal, and Instrument as usual. You can use the Quick Formula to pick fast. When you're satisfied, click Generate Song. The AI will sing your exact lyrics, following the tag structure.

Can I write lyrics without tags?

Yes, but the AI will split sections the way it understands, which may not match your intent. It's best to add tags for a clear structure.

What if I write fewer than 2 lines?

MuziAI requires a minimum of 2 sung lines. If you have fewer, you'll see an error and won't be able to generate the song.

Can I edit lyrics after generating the song?

No. Once the song is generated, you can't edit the lyrics on the result page. You'll need to go back to the Write Your Own Lyrics tab, make changes, and generate a new song.
